World Class Scholars
World Class Scholars is an innovative, real-time online education exchange program between students in South Carolina and their peers in other schools around the world.
Currently we have 84 pilot projects in varying stages of development in elementary, middle and high schools in Dorchester, Chester, Laurens, Cherokee, Darlington and Allendale counties.
We provide a 'turn-key' solution with everything the school districts need to implement the program.
To date, our global school partners are in China, South Africa, Kenya, Malta, Romania, Colombia, Spain, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Russia, Croatia, Ghana, Belize, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Ireland and Greece.
In SC, our partners / funders include: Robert Bosch Corp., Springs Creative, SC Research Authority, Fullerton Foundation, College of Charleston, SC Chamber of Commerce, Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Bailey Foundation, the City of Clinton, John Winthrop Fund, Laurens School District 56 and others.
We are currently working with the Peace Corps, Google, the MIT Media Labs, the Kennedy School at Harvard, the BBC, the British Council and UNESCO to develop possibilities for global expansion.
